In 2010, ENGIE E&P (formerly known as GDF E&P) started a billion-pound project to build the Cygnus Platform in the North Sea. This would contribute 5% of UK gas production at its peak, thus supplying gas to the equivalent of 1.5 million homes in Britain. This huge project involved numerous global third-party suppliers, all producing thousands of engineering and associated documents. All these documents needed to be collated, correlated – and actioned. A vast amount of information therefore needed to be accessed and shared quickly and easily against a backdrop of huge investment and looming deadlines.
How Aiimi Helped
Aiimi delivered a controlled OpenText document management system to support the collaboration, management and approval of all project documentation. The system utilised transmittal processes, workflow automation for approvals, document mark-up and commenting, auto PDF creation, and integrations to SharePoint (and their project management system). The Aiimi OpenText document management solution got the job done in various linked, secure and easily accessible onshore and offshore environments.
“Aiimi has delivered a world class content management system designed specifically for this huge engineering project that securely manages all critical engineering documentation”
