Before a business critical solution can be deployed in a production environment we ensure that the technical and business operations are ready for go-live. Disaster recovery and business continuity planning is essential to ensure that systems and data can be recovered in the event of failure. Service model agreements and service level agreements with other areas of the business need to be in place and tested, ensuring that all parts of the organisation are properly prepared. Where practical, Pilot sites with key stakeholders and power users used in the build phase will go-live first, ironing out initial teething problems and mitigating risk for the larger community deployment.
