Senior Digital Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a fresh-thinking, digitally-focused senior designer who has an eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging solutions across a wide range of mediums. You will be a self-starter who isn't afraid to take ownership of all aspects of digital design across Aiimi's UX, Labs and Marketing teams. You will work on a broad spectrum of creative applications, from the creation of webpages, microsites and other interactive experiences, through to branding, social posts, and documentation.

This is a varied role that will see you influence a number of areas within Aiimi, including the promotion of our flagship InsightMaker platform, as well as guiding the continual development of the Aiimi brand and its internal and external communications.

As such, you will be a detail-oriented self-starter with excellent multitasking and time-management skills. You will be passionate about creating attractive, contemporary designs and user-centred interfaces that keep Aiimi ahead of the curve. Excellent typographic, layout and user-interface design skills are a must, and bonus points for talents within illustration, animation or video.

Some projects will require you to manage freelance resources such as illustrators or photographers, from creating the job specification and interviewing candidates to setting the brief and day to day management. Previous experience in team management is ideal for this role.

All CVs must be accompanied by portfolio and/or website link that highlights your skills in both Digital Design and Graphic Design.

In this role you’ll be expected to:

  • Work within multi-disciplinary teams to understand, scope and define key projects and requirements, managing the end-to-end design and delivery process
  • Work with the UX team in taking wireframes through to finished, beautiful interface designs for websites, apps and mobile devices
  • Work with the corporate and technical teams in preparing presentations, bespoke graphics, business documents and occasional event collateral such as brochures and invitations
  • The role will focus on B2B and corporate design and will require suitable experience in a previous role
  • Be user-focused with a passion for new technologies and design trends
  • Have excellent written skills and be willing to share your knowledge on blog posts and company insights to further Aiimi’s thought leadership
  • Be confident managing multiple projects, often under tight deadlines
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work within a collaborative environment with other designs, working to reach shared goals
  • Be technically proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, (particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), as well as Sketch and InVision. Skill and experience in illustration, animation and video are also welcomed.

We’re all about collaboration at Aiimi. We actively encourage all employees to work together wherever possible,
sharing their knowledge and skills. That said, we’re also very cool with people working independently when they
need to.
