We're committed to carbon reduction.

Our approach to the reduction of carbon emissions is embedded in everything we do, from pursuing our own net zero pathway to supporting our customers' net zero goals. Aiimi is one of few UK SMEs certified to ISO 14064 (Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Verification), ISO 14068 (Carbon Neutrality), and ISO IWA42 (Net Zero Guidelines). These international standards provide a robust and transparent framework for measuring, managing, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3, and for achieving verified carbon neutrality.

We've been Carbon Neutral since Aiimi was founded in 2013, in line with ISO 14001:2015 Certificate of Environmental Management, as independently verified by Carbon Footprint Ltd. Today, we're committed to a carbon reduction plan that looks to deliver a year-on-year per capita saving on our pathway to net zero.

Reducing our carbon footprint per head year-on-year by assessing suppliers, products, travel, and optimising operational efficiency.

Challenging the design and delivery of our software to minimise resources and associated emissions.

Seeking practical, local carbon offsetting and removal strategies including generating our own carbon credits.

We've engaged with the following projects, approved by Quality Assurance Standard for Carbon Offsetting.

2013-2018 Offset: Zoba Anseba Community Safe Water Project.

This project delivers clean drinking water to communities in the Zoba Anseba region through sustainable water systems. By reducing reliance on carbon-intensive methods of water purification, it's not only improving health but also contributing to a lower carbon footprint for the region.

2019 Offset: Uganda Borehole Rehabilitation Project.

This project focuses on restoring boreholes in rural Uganda, providing communities with access to clean, safe water. By repairing and maintaining these water sources, it helps reduce the need for firewood to boil and purify water, ultimately lowering carbon emissions and improving local health.

2020 Offset: VP Biosupply Wastewater Treatment & Biogas Utilisation Project.

This initiative addresses the environmental impact of industrial wastewater treatment systems and utilising biogas as an energy source, the project reduces greenhouse gas emissions while promoting sustainable energy use in the region.

2021 Offset: Kenya Reforestation Project in the Great Rift Valley.

This reforestation project in Kenya is aimed at restoring degraded landscapes, increasing biodiversity, and capturing carbon from the atmosphere. By planting native trees, it's helping to reverse deforestation, protect ecosystems, and contribute to long-term carbon offsetting.
