A word from our CEO Steve Salvin on COVID-19.

In these unprecedented times, we fully understand the huge effect COVID-19 is having on people’s lives, both at home and in the business world. Naturally there’s a lot of uncertainty and fear around the situation – so at Aiimi we would like to reassure you that we are all proactively supporting and firmly standing by our wonderful Aiimi community of employees, customers and suppliers.

We are prepared, with strong foundations

Since Aiimi’s beginning back in 2007, we have funded our journey from working capital generated through organic business operations and from employee cash investments supporting our MBO in 2013. We have a solid financial base and are well prepared to ride out what will be a difficult trading period for the foreseeable future. Together we have weathered storms in the past, and as a team we will do so again.

We firmly stand by our employees, customers and suppliers

We are a people-first company, and nothing is more important to us than the mental and physical health of the people we work with. As a technology company, all our corporate systems are in the cloud and we have always had a work-from-anywhere policy. Remote working isn’t a huge change for us, and being an agile company, we are in a strong position and well equipped to deal with something like this. We have temporarily closed our offices and stopped on-site consulting for the foreseeable future. Whilst our staff are working at home, we have been embracing video conferencing, which is really helping us to stay connected and feel part of a team.

Giving a helping hand to businesses we work with

We have been touched by so many of our customers reaching out to us and asking if we are OK, and if there is anything they can do to support us. It has also been inspiring seeing how companies that have been devastated by the impact of the lockdown are still finding ways to help others who desperately need support. As a team we are collaborating with other companies to figure out ways we can help. In the meantime, if there is anything we can do to help you no matter how big or small, we are here and willing to get stuck in. We have data scientists, developers, designers and people who can facilitate remote workshops or design sprints – please get in touch if there is anything we can do.

Finally, a humble and grateful thank you to our incredible NHS staff who are working flat-out to save lives across the country. It’s only because of you and other key workers that we can all stay safe, keep calm and carry on - thank you.
