How data hacks are driving innovation in the water industry.
Aiimi Data Science Principle Jack Lawton shares the successes from two water industry hackathons: Aiimi's Mission Zero Hack at the Northumbrian Water Innovation Festival, and the Water Consumption Hack hosted by Aiimi in collaboration with Anglian Water, SES Water, and Welsh Water.
From developing ideas to reduce fleet carbon emissions and help Northumbrian Water achieve their commitment to Carbon Net Zero by 2027, to finding new ways to encourage customers to reduce their water consumption with and without smart meters – Jack explores what hackathons are and how water companies can use them to improve their operations and meet performance commitments. There's even the bonus addition of Q&As at the end of the session!
This session was originally presented at the British Water Data & Analytics Focus Group in January 2021.
